So that console gaming, gamer rights, and used games don't go the way of Pontiac. :P
Sorry man... it was just there for the taking.
The author of this article makes a good opening salvo as to why Sony might have scored an early victory against the competition, but for this consumer it was much more than that:
Sony never swayed from pushing /games/ as its main focus
Sony did not have a confusing menagerie of DRM protocols and draconian check-ins from the very /outset/ of its reveal.
Sony did not envision a gaming world without used games.
Sony was consiste...
I let it be known early on that for the /next/ generation of consoles I wanted to purchase Microsoft's next system because I believed it would be leaps and bounds beyond anything they had done before console-wise and I really wanted to see Sony have a strong competitor once again, to keep everyone honest.
That notion changed though soon after the May 21, 2013 Microsoft reveal, and since has been a steady stream of negative reasons and reversals for me /not/ to get the XBO...
Elite gamer? I thought all you 2005 "360 only guys" left after the HD-DVD fiasco, but looks like you're still at it stirring up trouble here and there lol.
I remember when you used to post pics here of all the 360's you purchased to try and justify your outrageous trolling. Now you've changed your avatar and name but it's still the same old stuff. Some things will never change I suppose.
Wake me up when it's November 15th, 2013. I must sleep and get rest before then.
Killzone 2 was incredible, but don't forget that Killzone 3 was and is fantastic right now too! It's FPS pr0n lol. Looks like the Guerilla Gods are on their way once again.
Yeah the storm looked great. This is looking really good and /fun/!
I don't know... I like a really good challenge. This seems to be a good idea for getting people into cars that never would be able to the traditional way: by earning it. At the same time though it removes the time honored "progression ladder of increasing difficulty".
Interesting approach from T10; we'll see how the hardcores of the series react to this move.
Mind not blown at all. The "facts" in this article only strengthen my will to stay as far away from this game as possible.
Wow... fabulous original game. Piss poor remake. This is disappointing.
Funny pic. Serious article.
"If you played any motion-controlled fighting game you know what to expect: a fun, simple affair that'll remind you more of flailing around than actually being in a fight."
It's a good thing that the Kinect is bundled with each XBOXONE for only $100 dollars more. With more titles like Fighter Within it will only be a matter of time before the masses see the true value of the bundle.

I'm sure he won't be fired for anything he said today.
Can. Not. Wait.
Too bad it's EA. My excitement is on hold, indefinitely.
I was just going to add on to the part you mentioned about Ninty. This reminds me of the same approach they took at E3: Be present but don't stir up any trouble and be in complete control of what you're presenting/releasing to the public.
Well someone once said that 85% of life is showing up. I wonder how this will play into the minds of consumers after a very tumultuous summer PR-wise for MS, but the good thing is they can't make any gaffes or mistakes if no one is speaking on the main stage and the entire thing is closely, closely monitored by MS PR execs. I can't wait until Tuesday.
I really don't see how anyone can spin this as something bad. It's not like Sony is taking any of the capabilities away from the PS4 or forcing unnecessary peripherals on it's customers in order to achieve this integration into their system.
Hey, they said greatness awaits. This proves they weren't lying. Not only is the PS4 capable of everything the X1 is, it's also capable of making the X1 do 180's, is more powerful, and $100USD cheaper. Now that really is greatness and it's evidenced by how many MS fans are absolutely livid by this Viacom merger news.
MS was too busy doing 180's to notice that Sony was creeping into their pasture like a wolf in sheep's clothing. The last time I saw...
Muerte that's brilliant and exactly what I was thinking. AMD is not going to sink its ship with either company by coming out and flat saying this one does and this one doesn't. That's not their place, and quite frankly, they would be divulging information that only their client should be releasing to the public on this subject. We'll get confirmation of this soon enough I'm sure.
+1 for a well said comment.
edit/ @golding89 - you are on...
